Born on May 26, 1602, in Brussels, Philippe de Champagne was a Flemish artist who moved to Paris in 1621.
He studied under Nicolas Duchesne, his future father-in-law and successor in decorating the Medici Gallery in the Luxembourg Palace.
Royal Commissions and Portraitist
